Aegis brings the cabin, docking, life support, launch escape, and return into one vehicle.
Crew transport is an integrated vehicle problem, from the pressure vessel and docking interface to life support, abort planning, and return. The destination determines the approach and berthing requirements. Those requirements must remain connected to the capsule, service module, and ground operations throughout development.

Escape, life support, and the flight profile are designed around the crew.
Docking
The capsule docks to the station, with a procedure if the approach has to be broken off.
Reuse
Recovery and inspection are part of the plan between flights.
