Segal Fabrication

Advanced manufacturing.

Overview

Machines that make.

We design and build our own fabrication machines, take on the custom work others won't, and open the floor to founders through the Foundry network. One stack — from the print head to the prototype.

Most fabrication shops buy their machines and rent their expertise. We build the machines, write the software that drives them, and run the floor where they earn their keep. When you control the tool, the toolpath, and the room, the limit on what you can make stops being the catalog.

Capabilities
FORGE

Forge — 3D Printers

Industrial additive across FFF, resin, and large-format pellet extrusion. Rigid motion, closed-loop temperature, and a slicer tuned to the hardware that runs it.

AXIS

Axis — CNC Machines

3- and 5-axis machining centers for metal and composite. Cast-iron rigidity, linear rail motion, and toolpaths generated straight from your model by Segal CAM.

ARC

Arc — Plasma Cutters

CNC plasma tables for fast, clean cuts in plate steel, aluminum, and stainless. Automatic height control and true-hole technology hold edge quality across the sheet.

SINTER

Sinter — Laser Sintering

Powder-bed fusion for nylon and metal. Fiber-laser galvo scanning, inert-atmosphere build chambers, and thermal control for dense, isotropic parts with no support structure.

FLUX

Flux — Water Jets

Abrasive waterjet for cold cutting almost anything — titanium, glass, stone, stacked composite — with no heat-affected zone and a finished edge straight off the table.

BEAM

Beam — Laser Cutters

CO₂ and fibre laser cutting and engraving for sheet metal, acrylic, wood, and high-resolution marking on coated and anodized stock — fast, clean, and tight-kerf.

Case Studies
Arizona, USA — Flagship · Open

Foundry — Phoenix

The first Foundry and the proving ground for every machine we ship. 24,000 ft² of floor, a resident engineering team, and round-the-clock machine access for member startups.

Michigan, USA — Metal-forward · Open

Foundry — Detroit

Built for hardware teams working in metal — five-axis machining, DMLS, and large-format waterjet, with a supply chain of regional material partners on tap.

Germany — European flagship · Opening

Foundry — Berlin

Our first floor outside North America and the anchor for the European residency program. Commissioning now, with cohort one seating in the next quarter.

China — Production bridge · Opening

Foundry — Shenzhen

Sited in the world's densest hardware ecosystem to bridge teams from Foundry prototype to contract-manufacture pilot run without crossing an ocean.
