Overview

Sovereign compute for the network

Segal Compute builds and operates the compute fabric every Segal division runs on. Fabric datacenters, a single orchestration OS, and hardened edge nodes — one substrate, owned end to end, from silicon procurement to scheduler.

The orchestration OS is the control plane for the whole network. It places workloads across regions, racks, and edge sites against latency, cost, and sovereignty constraints, and treats the fabric as one machine. Divisions request capacity; the OS decides where it runs.

Nothing is rented. Capacity, interconnect, and storage are Segal-operated, Segal-audited, and reserved for the network first — external allocation only when the fabric has headroom.

Fabric datacenters

Modular rack-aisle datacenters built to a common blueprint. Direct-liquid cooling, 48V DC busways, and aisle-level fault domains; a region comes online in months, not years.

Orchestration OS

The network's operating system. Declarative workload placement across regions and edge sites, bin-packed against latency, cost, and sovereignty constraints. One scheduler, one fleet.

Edge compute

Sealed short-depth nodes deployed at division sites — shipyards, fields, factory floors. Local inference and control loops with fabric-synced state when the uplink allows.

Segal-operated backbone between regions: dark fiber, deterministic routing, encrypted at the optical layer. East-west traffic never leaves the network.

Storage tiers

Four tiers from NVMe hot cache to deep archival vaults, one namespace. Placement policy moves data by access pattern; divisions address objects, not disks.

SC-ENCLAVE

Security enclave

Confidential-compute partitions with attested boot, per-tenant key custody, and hardware-isolated execution for defense and intelligence workloads.
