ISAM is the robotics, the inspection, and the process for building on orbit.

Building in orbit changes the relationship between transport and finished structure. Launch packaging, robotic handling, joining, inspection, and maintenance determine what can be assembled after arrival. The process is developed with the structure and the tools that must manipulate it in the space environment.
