PA-Ka
Segal AerospacePhased-array Ka-band terminal
A Ka-band terminal that steers the link without moving the antenna.
What you get.
Segal Aerospace
PA-Ka is for spacecraft downlink and for links between spacecraft. The same terminal fits the SF family.
A communications terminal is one part of an end-to-end link. Beam steering, available power, thermal limits, pointing, and the receiving network must be considered with the data that needs to move. The architecture follows the contact geometry and the mission's communications priorities.
Electronic steering
The beam moves electronically, within the pointing range of the mission.
Throughput
The terminal is designed for a high-rate link.
Common fit
Power and data interfaces are shared across SF-150, SF-500, and SF-GEO.
Bus family
Four buses, by class.
- SF-12Rideshare
- SF-150ESPA-class
- SF-500Microsat
- SF-GEOGEO-class
