Segal Aerospace

SAR-X is the sensor for the pass an optical camera cannot make. Antenna, mode, power, and processing are one payload.

Radar collection connects the antenna, waveform, power system, timing, and processing chain. The intended observation determines the tradeoffs between coverage and detail, while the orbit and spacecraft resources constrain the collection plan. Those choices are developed together rather than treating the radar as an isolated instrument.

    Spotlight, stripmap, and scan cover the resolution and the swath.

    SF-500 provides the power and the heat rejection the radar needs.
