Vanguard OTV
Segal AerospaceOrbital transfer vehicle
A transfer vehicle that moves a spacecraft from the drop-off orbit to the orbit where it works.
What you get.
Segal Aerospace
Vanguard separates the launch orbit from the mission orbit. It rendezvous, carries the payload, and can refuel.
Launch delivery and the final mission orbit are separate problems. Transfer planning connects propulsion, propellant, navigation, rendezvous, and the spacecraft interface with the orbit that must ultimately be reached. The vehicle's role is defined by that journey and the responsibilities on either side of separation.
Refueling
The vehicle is designed to take propellant from a depot and fly again.
Destination orbit
Transfers are planned for low orbit, GEO, and cislunar space.
Capture
Guidance and the capture interface are designed with an operator in the loop.
