Fieldwall

Segal DefenseForce-field research

Field-based protection research spanning electromagnetic shielding and adaptive protective materials.

Research & Development

Segal Defense

Fieldwall gives the force-field ambition a disciplined research brief. The starting points are electromagnetic shielding, field interaction with materials, and protective structures whose properties can be studied and measured. Longer-term field-based protection remains an open research question.

The program separates electromagnetic protection from physical protection. Shielding an electronic system, managing an electromagnetic environment, and resisting a mechanical threat are different engineering problems. Each requires its own evidence, and the program makes no claim of a universal or impenetrable barrier.

Fieldwall connects advanced materials, sensing, and integrated protection within one research direction. Engagement focuses on a defined protective function, a measurable evaluation objective, and the expertise required to investigate it responsibly.

  • Electromagnetic shielding

Protection of equipment and its electromagnetic environment is a defined research topic.

  • Adaptive materials

Material response and protective function are studied against explicit evaluation objectives.

  • Open scientific questions

Longer-term field-mediated protection is treated as research, with claims limited to evidence.
