Adaptive Surfaces connects material layers, sensing, actuation interfaces, and control around a client-defined response. The intended function may concern the building envelope, a machine surface, or another engineered application. The program defines the stimulus, response, operating limits, power and control interfaces, maintenance, and verification method. The resulting assembly is specified through the actual application and measured behavior.
